| The Center for Disability Services Foundation has a dual mission: To support the programs, services, and needs of individuals, of all ages, with disabilities by raising funds through corporate sponsors, grants, and community donors; and to create greater awareness of the Center as an invaluable resource for the Capital Region and beyond.
Why Your Support Is Important.
Your Support–whether through a special event, direct mail appeal, planned giving or other venue–makes it possible for the Center for Disability Services to: bridge the gap between the cost of providing services and the insufficient revenue that covers such care ultimately allowing the Center to provide services regardless of an individual’s or family’s financial situation; develop innovative services to address newly diagnosed disabilities or critical community needs; fund major capital improvements and equipment at the Center’s various facilities; support a number of programs and services that enable and empower people, primarily those with disabilities, to lead healthy and enriched lives; and offer assistance to their families.
Your tremendous support is essential in teaching our students basic life and communication skills necessary to help them experience everything their childhood has in store for them–everything they are so deserving of as they strive to reach their fullest potential. Furthermore, your commitment is vital in helping the Center to address the needs of adults with disabilities by providing innovative tools and opportunities for them to achieve accessibility, independence and safety as they strive to live and work in the community. Of course, these needs are just two examples of how your commitment will positively impact the lives of individuals and families served by the Center for Disability Services.
Your generosity will help the Center for Disability Services to continue to be the place where people get better at life.
