Suzanne E. Beattie
Senior Director of Quality Improvement

Suzanne Beattie was appointed the Senior Director of Quality Improvement for the Center for Disability Services in 2009.  In this capacity, she is responsible for the development and direction of Center-wide quality management, which includes quality improvement and quality assurance plans and programs in support of the agency’s mission and defined quality standards.  Ms. Beattie is responsible for the quality of services delivered in all programs as they pertain to consumer and family satisfaction, staff performance and compliance with appropriate state, federal and local regulations. She also oversees incident management activity (including investigations), Human Rights, Informed Consent, Mortality, and agency-wide Safety Committees. Her role interfaces with the agency’s governing board and external organizations in a leadership capacity.

Ms. Beattie has been an employee at the Center for Disability Services for the past 17 years in a variety of capacities. She began her career with the Center as a Resident Counselor, a Residence Manager, Medicaid Service Coordinator, Sr. Service Coordinator, SC Manager & Director of Quality Improvement. She has received an outstanding service award for her dedication, devotion and relentless advocacy for persons with developmental disabilities.
             
Ms. Beattie received her Bachelor of Science degree in Child & Family Services from SUNY Plattsburg. Her community involvement includes serving on the Board of Directors for Community Maternity Services in Albany, NY.
