Minerva S. Bruno, M.D., FAAP

Board Certified in Pediatrics

Dr. Bruno is known for her research and has documented her work in various  articles, including: “Micromorphological Aspects of the Development of Rubella Virus in BHK-21 Cells”, published and presented at the International Congress of Virology, Helsinki, Finland, July 1968, Journal of Virology (April 1969); and “Demonstration of Rubella Antigens by Immunodiffusion”, also presented at the International Congress of Virology, Helsinki, Finland, July 1968.

Dr. Bruno is a member of several professional associations, including: American Academy of Pediatrics, American Medical Women’s Association, The Women’s Medical Society of New York State and Rensselaer County Academy of Medicine, and Capital District Pediatric Society.

Minerva S. Bruno, M.D., FAAP

Dr Bruno has been with Center Health Care at the Center for Disability Services since 1998.  Her practice focuses on comprehensive assessment, treatment and management of various developmental disabilities.

        Dr. Bruno received her medical degree from Far Eastern University in the Philippines, and had her Residency Training in General Practice at the Far Eastern University Hospital.  Dr. Bruno also had a Residency and Fellowship in Pediatrics at Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren, Ohio, with affiliation at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio, during which she was appointed Chief Resident.  She also completed a Research Fellowship for the NYS Department of Health in Albany, NY, and a Pediatric Pulmonary Fellowship at Albany Medical College, Albany Pediatric Pulmonary Disease Center. She is also Board Certified and a Fellow in American Academy of Pediatrics.

        In addition to her practice at Center Health Care, Dr. Bruno is a Consulting Pediatrician at St. Coleman’s Home for Children in Cohoes, NY. Prior to her appointment at Center Health Care, Dr. Bruno practiced at various healthcare facilities in New York’s Capital Region, including, more recently, Albany Medical Center Hospital, where she held the position of Assistant Professor in Pediatrics and Assistant Director of Pediatric Pulmonary and Cystic Fibrosis Center; Whitney M. Young, Jr. Health Center, St. Mary’s Hospital of Troy, St. Peter’s Hospital, Office of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities (OMRDD) of New York State, and Saratoga Hospital
