Family Education Trainings (FET) are available to families with a loved one, under 18 years of age, enrolled in the Home and Community-Based Waiver.
The purpose of Family Education Training (FET) is to enhance the decision-making capacity of the family by providing information regarding the nature and impact of developmental disabilities, as well as to inform them about service alternatives.

Family Education Training (FET) is distinct in its purpose of supporting the family, deepening their understanding and coping of a developmental disability. The information and knowledge imparted in family education workshops increases the potential for creating an optimally supportive home environment.

Attending FET workshops annually ensures families maintain Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) Waiver eligibility.
These small group trainings are open to families enrolled in Family Education Training (FET). Please come to our workshops with your questions as sessions can be tailored to the needs of the participants.

Are you unable to attend our workshops or desire a topic we have not covered? We are flexible! Our FET program also offers individualized, one-to-one training sessions customized to your unique needs, time and location.
