Silver Anniversary Siro’s Cup

The silver anniversary of Siro’s Cup, a benefit for the Center for Disability Services, was a success by any measure. Over its 25 year history, it has become the unofficial kick off to the Saratoga Race Course meet and the place to see and be seen on the eve of opening day at the track. The 2018 version was sponsored by Newton Plaza & Marini Homes— Barry, Sara Lee and Eric Larner and Bob and Monica Marini and Justin and Fallon Marini and it raised more than $269,000 in support of the Center’s programs and services.

Make A Splash!

Make a splash by donating to efforts to raise funds for necessary repair work at the Charles R. Wood Foundation Aquatic Center at Prospect Center in Queensbury. The aquatic therapy program, which serves students from the Langan School at Prospect Center and members of the community, had to be closed in January because the boiler and rooftop dehumidifier failed. For people who have disabilities, who need physical rehabilitation because of injury or surgery or have conditions such as arthritis, aquatic therapy helps with mobility, flexibility, strengthening and range of motion. It is part of the Individualized Education Program for many Langan School students. Prospect Center is a division of the Center for Disability Services.
