Prospect Center - Queensbury
Prospect Center is a not-for-profit, private organization, which provides a variety of services to children and adults with mental retardation, physical challenges or developmental disabilities who live in Warren, Washington and Northern Saratoga counties.


Part-time & Full-time positions available in the greater Capital District including Warren, Washington & Northern Saratoga counties. CSP’s provide services to developmentally disabled individuals of all ages in a 1:1 setting in the community or in private homes for the Community Habilitation and In Home Respite departments. CSP’s provide caregiver’s a respite and provide individuals learning opportunities in activities of daily living to achieve independence. Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent, a valid, clean, insurable NYS driver’s license and reliable transportation.  Must be at least 18 years old and be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds to apply for this position.

SERVICE COORDINATOR - Prospect Center, Queensbury

The Service Coordinator works extensively to support individuals with developmental disabilities and their families to identify and access available community resources. The Service Coordinator, along with the individual, family, school and other community service providers, assess needs, provide linkage and referral to community services and is responsible for monitoring these services. Associate’s degree in field of Health and Human Services (or related field) required, Bachelor’s degree preferred. At least 1 year of related experience, specifically in: working with people with disabilities or at least 1 year of related experience, specifically in: Case Management. Must be at least 18 years old and be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds to apply for this position. This position requires reliable transportation, telecommuting is required.

TEACHING ASSISTANT - Prospect Center, Queensbury (FT and Relief positions available)

Assist the teacher with activities designed to address student’s needs as outlined on their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). Duties may include preparing classroom materials, direct instruction of students, and custodial care of students.  High School Diploma or GED required; college credits preferred.  Less than 1 year of job related experience working with children or individuals with disabilities is acceptable.  Must obtain NYS Teaching Certification within one year of hire and maintain the certification during the course of employment.  Must be at least 18 years old to apply for this position. BEHAVIORIST/SCHOOL SOCIAL WORKER - Langan School at Prospect Center, Queensbury

Langan School at Prospect Center is seeking a dynamic clinician part time (approximately 20 hours/week) with a strong clinical background and ability to work well with teams.  The primary role of the Behaviorist/School Social Worker is to provide consultation and behavioral support to students and classroom teams.  The Behaviorist/School Social Worker is responsible for on-going functional analysis and as necessary the development of behavior intervention plans. The Behaviorist/School Social Worker will model the implementation of behavior intervention plans, support the implementation of the plans, and train staff as needed.  Position involves facilitating staff and family trainings and special projects as needed.  School calendar with mandatory 6 week summer program. Masters degree in the area of psychology, social work, or mental health counseling needed.

BEHAVIOR SPECIALIST - In Home - Saratoga, Warren, Washington County, Prospect

The primary roles of the Behavior Specialist are to provide in-home consultation and behavioral support to children and their families as one of a Team of staff assigned to a Family Supports Program. Documentation for such services needs to adhere to regulation and programmatic requirements. Successful candidate will have the necessary skills to work with children and their families to develop and follow behavioral programs that ameliorate behavioral problems. The Behavior Specialist will model implementation of behavior support plans, support the implementation, and train as needed. Become part of a dedicated team of staff and a behavioral services team of experienced clinicians. Excellent supervision offered. Experience with behavioral intervention and developmental disabilities helpful. Masters in related field of psychology or social work required. Flexible, full time, days and hours.
