Capital Region Buddy Walk

Although we are virtual, we are Collectively connected through 21 steps!

The Buddy Walk is an inspirational and educational event that celebrates the many abilities and accomplishments of all individuals with Down syndrome. Take 21 Steps with us on October 17th in recognition of Down syndrome! In keeping with our theme, please consider making a donation of $21 or start your own fundraising team.

As part of our Virtual Buddy Walk, we will be hosting a car parade on Oct 17th from 11am-12pm and 12pm-1pm at 314 South Manning Blvd in Albany.  (Across from St. Peter’s Hopsital)

We invite all teams to join us in the car parade.  The person with Down Syndrome who you are celebrating should be in the first car to receive their goody bag and to lead their team throughout the parade.  Please let us know, for traffic control, if you will be participating during the 11am-12pm or the 12pm-1pm shift.

Scheduled to attend, are community leaders, dignitaries, local sports teams, police officers, fire fighters, DSAHRC friends and costumed characters to help cheer on our teams.

Please email to let us know what time shift you will be coming and please include your team name. We hope to see you at the parade!
